The idea of 3D printed shoes for men really inspired me to challenge myself in creating a wearable piece inspired by bird feather. I choose the name Envy because I believe that 3D printinting is the new phenomena that creates the possibilities of creating complex, otherworldly, and covetable items.

This is a fully 3D printed men's shoes, printing in Size 7 (UK). It makes from black rubber, strong and flexible plastic with gold-plated polished brass which is printed by using laser sinterning printers and printed out in i-Matierialize (Belgium)  and Shapeways (United State) company.

This experiment is explored the creation method of product, which is lead people to touch on new materials, unique and quality shapes. It is going to make the new generation of product by using new technology.

The shoes is designed by using three differents softwares:

3D Studio Max: Creating and making the basic shapes.

ZBrush: Generating and repoto the objects to be smooth and high resolution.

Netfabb Basic: Resize to the actual size of the shoes and fixing the polygons to make it be printable.

3D Printed Textile

3D Printed textile combiining with traditional method dress

The 3D printed textile could be the trend of using technology in fashion industry at the moments. People are focusing on developing the materials which have to be flexible and soft, so it can able to apply and print out the wearable costumes for human life (ready-to-wear). I have designed a textile, printed out in solid materials (PLA filament). This 3D printed textile is comforable and movementable, sitable.

I have collaborated with two fashion designers, Nange Magro and Rob Elford to fusing the 3D printing textile with traditional dress method to become one.

The idea of 3D printing these textiles is cost-low value, people can easily make the wearable costumes from the normal printer with solid materials (PLA filaments).

The textile is designed by using two differents softwares:

3D Studio Max: Creating and making the basic shapes.

Rihno: Making the parten, scaling and bending the textile to follow the shape of costume design.

After the 3D printed men's shoes, I have continued chanlegen myself to make a 3D printed women's shoes. The high heels were inspired by the complex but beautiful formaion of rose. I used the idea of roses to re-design the ankle boot to create an enchanting covetable piece for women.

The petals are designed around the surface of the shoes to simulate the look of flowers on the wearers feet.

To make the accurated model of the shoes, I have used 3D scanner to scan out the basic shape of the real shoes (size 4 in UK), and re-create and design the shapes in 3D softwares.

The shoes is designed by using two differents softwares:

3D Studio Max: Re-creating and making the basic shapes.

Zbrush: Make the high resolution for modelling. The Prototyping was printed out in Makerbot Replicator 2

The shoes are absolutely can print out to be wearable by using professional printer, laser  sinterning such as Connex500 (multi-materials and multi-color).
